Sagrada Familia, Barcelona, Spain

Mon 24 Jun 2013

Destined to be finished at some point in the future, the in progress Sagrada Familia church in Barcelona is undoubted as one of the most audacious religious artifacts of all time.

Variously designed and start at the end of the 19th century, the project was taken over by Gaudi towards the end of his life.

Celebrated for amazing natural forms in his art, Gaudi's design here integrates some amazing forms and religious icons.

The present day decoration includes creative thru civil effort. Baracades, cranes, exposed reinforcing bars and cold concrete, offset the religion and Gaudi's inspiration in a feast for the eyes.
